Cigarette Paper Sizes

Below you can see how the different sizes of cigarette rolling papers compare to each other.

Composition

Rolling papers are most commonly made with wood pulp, hemp, flax or rice as a base material. The basic design of a single paper is a long rectangle with a narrow strip of gum along one of the long edges.

Dimensions

Most manufacturers who sell in the USA use the following designations:

1 (Single wide) - between 1 ½ and 1 ¾ inches wide,

1¼ (1.25) size - between 1 ¾ and 2 ½ inches wide

1½ (1.5) size - between 2 and 3 inches wide

 “Doublewide” (2 or 2.0) -between 21/2 and 3 ½ inches wide’

A better way to describe this is that a 1 1/4 is designed to roll a cigarette that contains about 25% more tobacco then a single wide paper.

The length of UK regular papers are always the same, at 70mm, while King Size cigarette papers are either 100mm or 110mm in length.
